Finding Space for Healing: November Grief Retreat in Devon

Grief takes many forms. It can arrive through bereavement, the end of a relationship, children leaving home, a change in career, or even the quiet loss as a result of life transitions. Too often, we carry these experiences silently — without the time, space or support to truly process what they mean for us.

That’s why I’m so grateful to be co-hosting this year’s Grief Retreat with my friend and colleague, Emma Skilton, here in Devon.

A retreat designed for renewal

From Thursday 27th November – Monday 1st December 2025, we’ll gather at the award-winning Cottages at Blackadon Farm, set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. This beautiful location, surrounded by sweeping skies, woodland and moorland paths, invites calm, reflection and grounding.

Guests will stay in thoughtfully restored cottages with en-suite rooms. Nourishing meals will be freshly prepared by our partner, Dartmoor Larder. Every detail is designed to support rest, comfort and healing.

What to expect

  • Guided sessions blending hypnotherapy, movement, neuroscience, and coaching

  • Time in nature — walking, breathing, reflecting under wide Dartmoor skies

  • Rest and journaling time in peaceful surroundings

  • Delicious meals that restore body and mind

  • The comfort and joy of connecting with other women who “get it”

Why last year’s retreat mattered

Last year’s Loss and Grief Retreat was one of the most moving experiences I’ve ever facilitated. The courage, honesty and compassion in the room were extraordinary. Guests left lighter, more connected, and reassured that grief, while deeply personal, doesn’t have to be carried alone. Just being together in a safe space allows for easier exploration of feelings and next steps.

It’s that experience — the healing power of being together in community — that Emma and I are so looking forward to creating again this year.
